Of course it went higher.
Let’s talk about Veterans Day and Remembrance Day.
Playing all these WWI and WWII games gives you a real appreciation for Veterans Day and Remembrance Day. I made a conscious effort to get a poppy as soon as possible — I’m wearing it proudly. The younger generations like the aesthetic, but a lot of them are new to Canada, and you can tell they don’t truly understand the weight or the history behind it.
Remember when the communists were celebrating as if they “won” World War II, and POTUS had to remind them who actually carried that war on their backs? Most people can’t see past their own nationalist programming — which is part of why interest in World War content has been fading. It’s easier to forget than to confront the reality.
And one thing the record is clear about: Black soldiers who fought for the Allies did fight, and many questioned why they should — yet their contribution is documented and undeniable.
You can’t be sure about the new demographics.
Not all groups step up the same way, and that’s the uncomfortable truth.
For example, Indians don’t like jobs with much physical labour. They openly acknowledge it too. Look at their professions of choice.
When you think about the next great war, you start to see how much recruitment quality becomes a real strategic constraint.
