A Communist Christmas
There is no single permutation of China or communist country opening up without high tariffs.
There is no single permutation of legitimate communist consumerism without high tariffs that force a trickle-down effect from the state to the people.
It is only this permutation that will cause these countries to open up.
They will open up because there will be less of a necessity to enforce stringent protectionism because the government has less financial incentive to do so.
This is the untapped potential of that meme of the small circle around East Asia that says ‘half the world’s population lives here’.
People don’t seem to understand or want to accept that.
If they don’t want to accept that.
They shouldn’t bring it up.
Instead, you get a parade.
A parade for a cut and pause.
POTUS says 80% or no lowering of tariffs.
POTUS said he wants to see China ‘open’ up.
What do you really get?
You get lower tariffs and more ‘talks’.
You even get told about all the optionality that is created from this.
This will probably be the US’s biggest trade deficit year yet.
With the added kicker of more fiscal deficits for tax cuts.
For what?
Christmas?
Tomorrow, Bessent will be having a parade.
A parade for a deal.
A deal that just shows that both countries lowered tariffs.
And?
Well, nothing else.
A little in regards to ‘strategic industries’.
Anyone can do that.
Oh, let me guess an extended pause?
This is the definition of ‘winning’.
