Blitz the Trade War
An announcement by mutinational’s to say they will invest in the United States is simply too slow. They are capable of being that much faster, specifically with what a 1-term administration potentially wants to hear by midterms. This is why 90 days, which is essentially a full quarter, only prolongs what needs to be done at a fast pace.
Because of the prolonged time window, the administration must still act like they did with Nvidia which then essentially drags the market down, which then gets people up in arms.
What people seem to forget is that many of these mutinationals operate relatively tax-free industrail parks in the likes of China and Vietnam as part of their legal structure. Yes, it was potentially advantageous to do so. They all got their advisory firms and big fours to sign off those decisions which effectively outsourced all fiduracy responablity.
Both they and the centralized regimes they do business in have the ability to make a quick choice. Which is to acknowledge how they have exploited the American system for so long and to rapidly make amends.
This choice is much bigger and much more important than antidote SME or farmer in rural USA. The SME and the farmer doesn’t solve the almost $1 trillion trade deficit.
It was those countries’ choices to act as a manufacturing hub and to suppress their populations with a limited economic trickle-down effect. This was part of the control apparatus because those governments ensured they would have the funds needed to rule as a one-party state without a high GDP per capita population.
That is not the way and the model for the world.
The effectiveness of the administration was in blitzing their ideas and policies—just as they did in the first few days in office with hundreds of executive orders. They need to apply that same approach to this global trade war: to bring back manufacturing, reclaim all the technological IP, and position the United States as the pillar through which the world sees wealth and prosperity—not just through its industries, but through its people.
This is something only the United States has proven it can do.
