Many men claim they can endure. I’m not sure about that.

In Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne goes through a kind of journeyman arc — one that forces him into environments where everyone would gladly take advantage of him. I actually think that’s good.

Being surrounded by parasites and psychic vampires in the spiritual war tests something deeper. If you can survive that, keep your soul intact, and learn to manage it all without becoming one of them — that’s when you truly ascend.
