Coming this week: 1 vs 1
I only need to beat:
one opponent each day.
That dramatically changes optimal strategy.
A lot of the ultra-high-variance traders from qualifiers become vulnerable in this format because:
they psychologically NEED big scores,
they are conditioned to leaderboard chasing,
they may overtrade blind checkpoints,
and now there is no long-term accumulation advantage because accounts reset daily.
The biggest upgrade to my odds is probably this rule:
daily account resets.
That removes accumulated equity advantage from reckless early leaders.
Every round becomes:
process vs process,
decision quality vs decision quality,
composure vs composure.
Not:
“who hit the craziest day 1 lottery move.”
The 1-contract limit also matters because it compresses variance dispersion between competitors.
