Events are moving too quickly to say anything useful right now.
Yesterday I watched a respected geopolitical strategist publish his latest take. By evening, the narrative had flipped twice.
A peace deal was announced, then the ceasefire was already in breach by morning. What he wrote at noon was obsolete by dinner.
This is the new normal.
Now they sell headlines that expire before you finish your coffee. The data points change faster than anyone can write, edit, and publish.
At best, the piece can say “the situation has been evolving.”
That’s not insight, that’s stating the obvious.
You can still do meaningful work if you’re analyzing individual companies, reading balance sheets, or tracking long-term fundamentals.
Those move slowly enough to reward thoughtful analysis.
But trying to offer “geopolitical strategy” or “macro insight” on fast-moving events is mostly theater.
The world is running laps around everyone.
Events are moving too quickly to say anything useful right now.
