Execution Beats Access: One Regime's Lesson for Everyone Else
It is true the US is winning the conventional war.
Iran is winning the unconventional war as a global nuisance.
If Iran a completely sanctioned economy cut off from global trade, advanced technology imports, and the U.S. dollar — can still develop and deploy systems capable of targeting 5th-generation fighters and penetrating Iron Dome defenses, what does that say about every non-sanctioned economy that enjoys unrestricted access to global markets, capital, and supply chains?
What does it reveal about the true capacity and capability of a nation’s people when a single regime has unequivocally demonstrated, through intelligence and ingenuity, that it can successfully challenge the world’s largest and most powerful military?
At most, Iran receives intelligence sharing and back-channel support from Russia and China.
Unlike the Cold War era, when those powers could (and did) provide direct, overt assistance, today’s support is largely indirect filtered through the very sanctions regime Iran is forced to navigate.
The decisive factor remains the same: execution.
Despite every structural disadvantage, Iran has shown it can design, produce, and employ sophisticated unconventional war at scale.
