I am a performative persons biggest op
When a performative person meets me, they’ll hear the incredible things I’ve done and instinctively try to diminish them.
They might even accuse the real one of being performative — because that’s all they know.
But here’s the difference: I don’t seek validation.
The very fact that I can speak this freely is the proof.
How many Canadians of Vietnamese descent, born here, carrying an Anglo government name (thank you nona - RIP), have ever spoken this liberated?
Zero. Literally zero.
Most are too afraid — and those shaped by collectivism never developed a distinct personality to begin with.
But here’s the more important thing:
Everyone else is valuing the wrong things.
The great inversion is that I only appeared to value what they called right — yet over time, it’s becoming clear:
More on that next time!
