If Trump had been running things in the Vietnam War, it NEVER gets called a "loss."
Trump’s Iran standard: Navy at the bottom, missile program set back years, leadership hit — declare total victory. Apply that to Vietnam? U.S. forces crushed most major engagements. Enemy body count was multiples higher. But endless war + weak politics = ‘loss’ in the history books.

Same metrics he just applied to Iran:
Enemy military degraded/destroyed
Far higher enemy casualties
U.S. objectives largely met on the battlefield
Yet Vietnam is remembered as a defeat because we left and the South fell. People forget the stats.
U.S.: ~58,220 dead, ~300k wounded.
North Vietnamese/Viet Cong: Estimates 600k–1.1+ million military dead.
Won the fights, lost the exit. Sound familiar?
