Inside Trade War: Parasitic Communist Labor Force Exposed
People say the decline of NKE 0.00%↑ is unpatriotic. I empathize with its American shareholders and some stakeholders, but the 500,000 Vietnamese workers in the sweatshop could care less about Nike in any capacity besides the paycheck. The mindset of these workers is that since wages are what they are, “I know what my fixed income is for this position” - socialism - hello?! Meaning, at this ‘position’, I should find the easiest job with the best conditions if my wage is what it is.
This is why the turnover is 30-50% p.a.
This is why the same sweatshop workers also contribute to the counterfeit or off factory goods for additional income.
A strategy that hiring managers do at companies in the likes of Vietnam is since wages are so ‘low’, they will double and triple hire to compensate for both productivity and turnover. Yet here is the amusing part - if you eliminate all 4-3 things, things might actually be better.
Why? Because the hiring manager job justifies having the biggest bloat. The bigger the bloat, the harder to remove. This is why the East always tries to impress you with headcount.
They operate as a Ponzi scheme, forcing an organization to comply with the wishes of its stakeholders or ‘patriotic’ to their country employees.
No union? Whether there are unions or not, discounts the fact that employees who then dominate the overhead function as a synthetic union with the threat of productivity and morale on Nike.
Think of this. You are a peasant sweatshop worker and you have climbed to the heights of becoming an assistant foreman. This is the first time in your life you have moderate power and status.
Do you believe that power and status have not been abused?
Abused in a manner to hurt the organization they are working for?
Or you, as an American executive, have to play along with all this?
I betcha, I could get all these confessions over a drink as I did when I would be doing corporate intelligence— for fun!
Having seen and witnessed the parasitic nightmare.
I want to give an idea of my workflow because I think it makes extremely salient points about where the global economy is going. I would previously hire PhDs, CFAs, and MBAs or, let’s say, data engineers in the East. But through thinking about product fit and quick to market or deployment, I was never satisfied with the pace and propensity, let’s say, if you have a new idea.
I looked at the math and said if somehow I could scale myself and develop or manufacture the product or service at 80% and get everything I used in the East down to, say, 20% and then work within that 20% to do the same, I would be securing my endeavors.
The feedback loops through the use of technology became more rapid and more successive and the R&D to implementation became dramatically faster and better. The rapid successive feedback loops to create a non-replicable competitive edge in products or services and hereby offset headcount OPEX with optimized productivity focus headcount while aligning or realigning the dynamics of the top line relative and margins which expand.
We are at a phase now where people want better products and services those of the non-replicable competitive edge than more products and services.
