A corrosive form of lower-tier rent-seeking has taken root in some places—people gaming systems, extracting without building, and treating loopholes as a business model.
As that lane gets tightened up, the same reckoning will hit the white-collar world too: IP mimicry, credential cosplay, and “I copied it so it’s fair” rationalizations will stop being treated as harmless and start being recognized for what they are—parasitic.
AI is accelerating the compression of edge, which makes the distinction even sharper: create, or be exposed as a copier.
If you feel tension, good.
That’s the signal.
Act.
Build.
Ship.
Defend and align for your edge.

This cuts through the noise perfectly. The "credential cosplay" framing is spot on, I've seen so many consultants repackage other people's frameworks and present them as propriatary insights. What scares me though is that AI might also lower the bar for actualy building, making it harder to tell who's creating vs remixing. I dunno if we're ready for that paradox.
