MIA not POW now Cheer

A pilot goes missing on Friday. There are no major public declarations or updates about an active search and rescue operation over the weekend. Then on Sunday, Trump posts “WE GOT HIM!”

Now there’s a press conference highlighting how incredible and heroic the mission was.

But what if it wasn’t actually that extraordinary? With the full resources of the U.S. military deployed, was the rescue really that remarkable?

Or is this more about politics than the life of the airman?

We should hope every American service member’s life is treated with this level of urgency and effort — without it becoming a political victory lap.

This rescue is a real-world example of limited “boots on the ground” in hostile Iranian territory.
