MOONFALL: Post-Inauguration Opening
The opening, to which I’m providing some liquidity, says a lot about American exceptionalism. Despite the fact that tariffs are on the way, the market remains relatively buoyant. Do I believe there should be different treatment between Mexico and Canada? Absolutely. It was the Canadian government’s choice to play hardball with the administration during its first term, and as a result, they’re dealing with the consequences.
Interestingly, this year brings a very dynamic setup.
We have a long post-inauguration idea and a short Chinese New Year idea heading into the 29th. To recap, expect these economies to experience sell-offs leading into their holiday, while the U.S. continues to see pro-market executive orders.
