Small Fries: What the pho?!
Nutritional determinism isn’t fate — it’s simply the downstream effect of culture, and culture itself is downstream of ideas.
The foods a society chooses, celebrates, or defaults to are reflections of the ideas it holds about health, taste, identity, and tradition.
If someone decides to stay fully homogeneous in both ideology and cuisine — even when their diet is limiting their physical or cognitive potential — that’s ultimately a choice.
I can present the evidence, but I can’t force anyone to change their ideas, and therefore I can’t force them to change their diet.
