If you’re truly high capability, you quickly realize you don’t want to build anything in the Temu/Shein tier.
Then you notice who those environments attract — people you can’t learn from, and work that doesn’t transfer into anything durable.
Once you factor in how crony capitalism shows up even in the pettiest arenas, the decision becomes obvious:
You move your capability to whatever counts as hardcore mode — the highest-consequence lane, where the standards are real and the outcomes can’t be faked.
And from there, you don’t “compete.”
You beat the game.

Sharp take on environment selection! Watched too many talented people waste years in mediocre setups because they thought building locally first was 'practical.' The Temu/Shein tier analogy hits hard - you cant learn from people who've never played at the highest level. The hardcore mode framing is spot on, though I dunno if everyone realizes how different the game realy is once you're there.
