Watch the Actions
This weekend marked Trump’s birthday, and he’s getting older.
Just a few days ago, he slipped while walking up the steps to Air Force One.
Today, he claimed to have signed a deal with the EU—after dropping the agreement he signed with the UK.
He also falsely accused Trudeau of actions actually taken by Stephen Harper, who was Canada’s representative during Russia’s removal from the G8.
Additionally, we’ve entered a 90-day window that mirrors the final 90 days of his previous term.
This context highlights a broader point: the idea of “deals” is often overrated. That’s why we saw giveback during the intraday session and in the futures open.

It’s because everyone around him—and across the negotiating table—is too cunning. They’re exploiting him.
But in exploiting him, they’re also making things worse.
This is why his bursts of optimism inflate markets, only to deflate them shortly after.
Right now, he is flying back for a meeting in the situation room.
Are things in the Middle East better or worse in the last 24 hours?
Watch the actions.
Not the talk of deals.
